U.S. state of Illinois can benefit from the experience of Azerbaijan in the field of information technology in the future, chairman of the House of Representatives of Illinois Michael Joseph Madigan said during the meeting with Chairman of the Azerbaijani parliament Oqtay Asadov, the press service of the Parliament said.

U.S. state of Illinois can benefit from the experience of Azerbaijan in the field of information technology in the future, chairman of the House of Representatives of Illinois Michael Joseph Madigan said during the meeting with Chairman of the Azerbaijani parliament Oqtay Asadov, the press service of the Parliament said.

Madigan praised the dynamic development of Azerbaijan, the direction of oil revenues to new areas, particularly to the sphere of information technologies. Preparation and implementation of special projects by the Azerbaijani government on information technology deserves endorsement, he said.

Today there is a strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the U.S., Asadov said.

Establishment and development of a cooperative relationship with the State of Illinois serve the mutual interest.

"Today, there is a working group on the inter - parliamentary relations with the United States in the Parliament. It is desirable that such friendship groups to be created with individual U.S. states, as well as with the Parliament of Illinois" Asadov said.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the issues of mutual meetings, parliamentary cooperation, exchange of experience in the legal field, etc.

The meeting was attended by Head of the Azerbaijani Parliament Safa Mirzayev, head of the working group on the relations with the U.S. Samed Seyidov, a member of the group Asim Mollazade and other officials.
