Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 21 / Trend, E. Mehdiyev /

A coalition of pro-government parties can be created to support the presidential candidate from the ruling New Azerbaijan Party, chairman of the pro-government "Ana Vatan" party, MP Fazail Agamali told Trend on Monday.

"Of course, this is directly connected with the political processes on the eve of the presidential elections," he said. "So, this issue is not a matter of debate. However, if it is relevant in the future, we may take part in these discussions and take necessary actions."

Touching upon the issue of the party's participation in the upcoming presidential elections, Agamali said that his party will remain true to its traditions and will support the candidate from the ruling party, based on the concept of Azerbaijani leader Heydar Aliyev.

"I believe this candidate will be Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and we will make a decision at the congress of our party," Agamali said.

The presidential elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for autumn 2013.
