Deputy Foreign Ministers of Georgia and Israel David Djalagania and Zeev Elkin signed an agreement on Wednesday in Jerusalem under which holders of diplomatic and official passports do not need a visa to travel to Israel.

The agreement was signed within the framework of political consultations between the foreign ministries of the two countries, taking place in Israel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia told Trend on Wednesday.

The sides discuss issues of bilateral, regional and strategic relationships and common problems.

"These meetings mark another step towards strengthening political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries," the Georgian Embassy in Israel noted.
