If the National Council is not funded in a timely manner, it will split, deputy executive secretary of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party Siyavush Novruzov told the media today.
"The National Council has no prospects," he said. "No matter who will be the candidate, this organization would fail.
Referring to the Russian-Azerbaijani relations, Novruzov said that the two countries have good relations.
"The Foreign Minister recently paid a visit to Moscow," he said. "The Russian-Azerbaijani business forum was held in Volgograd. The forums are also held under the leadership of the Presidents. Moreover, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is implementing large-scale projects in Russia. A person who considers himself a head of a clan of Azerbaijanis in Russia is mistaken. These are independent people who do their business there."
