Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Gaza will contribute towards achieving an agreement on establishing a single government by the Fatah and Hamas movements, Gaza Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh said in an interview with Sabah newspaper on Thursday.

According to him, the people of Gaza are preparing for Erdogan's visit with particular enthusiasm.

"Erdogan's visit to Gaza will also contribute to the removal of the Israeli embargo," he stressed.

Regarding the date of the visit, Haniyeh said that he does not know the exact date. However, the government of Gaza is waiting for this visit at any time.

Erdogan said earlier that he will visit the Gaza Strip in June, but then the visit was postponed. Israeli-Turkish relations began moving back towards normal. Earlier, Israel promised not to interfere with Turkish Prime Minister's visit to Gaza.
