The support campaign for the candidacy of Defence Minister and army chief Abdel-Fattah al-Sissi for the presidential post will start on Monday in Egypt, Al Jazeera TV channel reported.
According to the campaign founder, Nasrallah Rifai, Sissi is the only presidential candidate so far who will manage to stabilise the situation and bring the country out of its economic crisis.
Meanwhile, the arrests of members of the Muslim Brotherhood continue in Egypt which began after the crackdown of ex-president Muhamed Morsi as a result of a military coup.
Morsi and the leaders of Muslim Brotherhood were put into a Cairo prison. He is accused of cooperation with the HAMAS movement and for escaping from prison in 2011.
