It is expected that the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif to Azerbaijan will take place after the presidential election, Iranian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayin told Trend.
According to Pak Ayin, the Iranian Foreign Minister will arrive in Baku to attend the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission which will discuss cooperation in economic, trade and humanitarian spheres.
The ambassador said at the moment diplomats are to determine the time of the next commission meeting.
In late September, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met his Iranian counterpart in New York during the UN General Assembly and invited him to visit Azerbaijan.
