Former football player, MP Hakan Sukur, who resigned from the ruling Justice and Development Party of Turkey, was dismissed from his position as press-secretary of the Doping Commission of Inquiry of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Turkish news agency Anadolu reported today.
This decision was taken in accordance with the domestic regulations of the Parliament, according to the message.
According to the regulations, around 10 MPs, four members from the Republican People's Party, two members from the Nationalist Movement Party must be represented in the Doping Commission of Inquiry of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Former football player, MP Hakan Sukur resigned from the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) of Turkey on Dec.16.
The cause for his resignation was the policy pursed by the ruling party on closing private training courses.
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan urged Sukur to abandon his MP post.
