Turkish PM: Everyone should be ready to convey realities of 1915 to world

Baku, Azerbaijan, Jan. 15

By Rufiz Hafizoglu - Trend:

Everyone should be ready to convey the realities of 1915 to the world, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Jan. 15.

He made the remarks speaking at the Turkish ambassadors' conference held in Ankara.

The PM said it is necessary to look at history in order to understand all that happens today.

"Forgetting the history is a crime," he said,

Armenia marks April 24 as a day to remember the falsified "genocide". Armenia and the Armenian lobby claim that Turkey's predecessor the Ottoman Empire committed genocide in 1915 against the Armenians living in Anatolia. The parliaments of some countries have recognized the falsified Armenian "genocide" under pressure from the Armenian propaganda.
