Afghan President Hamid Karzai has begun his official visit to Turkey in connection with a meeting of Turkish, Afghan and Pakistani presidents, press service of Afghanistan's presidential apparatus told Trend on Feb.11.

During the three-day visit, the president of Afghanistan will meet with Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and participate in the tripartite meeting of Turkish, Afghan and Pakistani presidents. The development of bilateral relations and regional issues will be discussed at the meetings.

The issues of cooperation in the sphere of economy and security will be discussed at the tripartite meeting.

The last tripartite meeting of the presidents took place in December 2012.
