Botswana is ready to create favorable conditions for Azerbaijani investors to make investments, the country's Minister of Trade and Industry Dorcas Makgato-Males said at the meeting with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
The meeting took place within the tour of the Azerbaijani foreign minister to some African countries, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Feb.26.
During the meeting the issues of development of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed, the importance of creation of a legal framework for this and organization of mutual visits of business people was highlighted.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Minister briefed Botswana's Minister of Trade and Industry about the country's economy, the large regional projects that are being implemented.
There was also a meeting held between the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Botswana's Foreign Minister Pandu Skelemani.
Azerbaijan and Botswana determined the economy, energy and humanitarian spheres as priorities of cooperation.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister briefed his counterpart about the country's economy, large regional projects that are being implemented and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Mammadyarov invited his colleague to visit Azerbaijan.
Highlighting the importance of the Azerbaijani foreign minister to Botswana in terms of development of relations between the two countries, Skelemani proposed to organize mutual visits at other levels too.
The visit of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister to Botswana took place as part of the tour to some African countries.
