The helicopters of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy are equipped with 'Nasr-1' invisible missiles and cruise missiles, Iranian Tasnimnews agency reported on March 1.
The 'Nasr' missiles are capable of destroying short-range targets, according to the information.
Most of the helicopters of the IRGC First naval flotilla near Bandar Abbas city are also equipped with invisible 'Nasr-1' missiles.
Iran first tested 'Nasr-1' missile during a military exercise in 2008, and mass production of these missiles started in 2010.
The 'Nasr-1' missile can destroy a target with a weight up to 3000 tons at a distance up to 35 kilometres.
The missile is launched from ships and boats, but can also be easily modified to be fired from helicopters and fighters.
