The amount of funds accumulated by March 1, 2014 in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces Assistance Fund amounted to 52,340,724 million manat, $211,791 and 593 euro, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said on March 2.
The fund was established in 2002 in accordance with the Azerbaijani president's decree.
The fund is formed through the voluntary donations of physical and legal entities operating in the territory of Azerbaijan, as well as other investments not prohibited by the law.
