Tehran, Iran, April 27
By Milad Fashtami - Trend:
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that his country is ready to help find a political solution for the Syrian crisis.
Zarif added that all the foreign countries need to help to achieve the goal, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported.
"Extremism and killings have no place in Syria's future," he said.
Zarif made the remarks in a joint press conference with his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz in Tehran.
Iranian minister also said that Iran will never negotiate its missile capabilities with any other country, adding that nuclear weapons have no place in Iran's defense doctrine.
The foreign minister noted that a religious decree issued by the Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has banned all nuclear arms.
Kurz expressed hope that the nuclear talks between Iran and the P-Five-plus-One group will result in a deal that strengthens ties between Iran and the European Union.
