Azerbaijan and Angola discussed the expansion of a legal framework of the bilateral relations.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received a delegation headed by Angola's Secretary of State for External Relations Manuel Domingos Augusto, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry told Trend on May 16.

Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan attached great importance to its relations with African countries, including Angola. He said there were fruitful opportunities for boosting cooperation between Azerbaijan and Angola in the fields of politics, economy, trade and energy.

The minister also stressed the two countries could collaborate in developing human resources in education and different vocational fields.

Domingos Augusto said Angola put a special emphasis on its relationship with Azerbaijan.

He praised Azerbaijan's role in preparing Angolan specialists in the Soviet period. Domingos Augusto also said Angolan students were receiving education at ADA University.

They discussed the strengthening of a legal framework of the bilateral relations, and cooperation in international organization.
