A preliminary date of the first meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkmen and Turkish foreign ministers in the trilateral format has been announced. The meeting is expected to take place in Baku on May 26, a diplomatic source told Trend on May 17.

The foreign ministers are expected to discuss the situation in the region, the status of the Caspian Sea, as well as issues of developing the cooperation.

The formats are Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia, and Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran. The summits of foreign ministers and presidents of these countries were held.
