After the meeting in a limited format, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang held a meeting in a limited format with the participation of delegations.
The presidents made statements at the meeting.
President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Truong Tan Sang recalled him visiting the Soviet Union when Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev was represented in the Soviet Union's government.
Vietnamese president noted that people of Vietnam were very appreciative of great leader Heydar Aliyev's attention to their country.
President Ilham Aliyev and Truong Tan Sang also exchanged views on different aspects of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, including the cooperation within international organizations and the expansion of cooperation in energy, science, investment and other spheres.
