Some 30 officers of Azerbaijani armed forces, who serve in International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan on rotation basis, have today returned home, the Defense Ministry of Azerbaijan said.
Azerbaijani armed forces' peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan was launched on November 20, 2002. Today, the mission in Afghanistan includes 94 Azerbaijani soldiers, two military doctors and two engineers.
