The commander of the Interior Troops, Major General Shahin Mammadov visited a N-military unit in Barda to check the level of fulfilling combat missions, the Interior Troops reported on Aug. 8.
"The combat readiness of the military unit and the morale of the personnel are at a high level," he said.
Mammadov observed the conditions of the service.
Then, a meeting was held. Mammadov stressed growing economic power of Azerbaijan, the opportunities for strengthening the Armed Forces. He stressed that the targeted reforms implemented under the leadership of Azerbaijani President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, give results. As a result, the Azerbaijani army, equipped with the most modern weapons and equipment, is the strongest in the South Caucasus.
Mammadov expressed satisfaction with the measures to enhance combat activity in the military unit over the past period. He stressed the importance of further efforts to improve the professional skills of officers and warrant officers.
At the end of the meeting Mammadov gave specific instructions.
