The head of the Caucasian Muslims Office Allahshukur Pashazade and Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia Ilia II called for a peaceful resolution of conflicts in Nagorno-Karabakh, Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region during their meeting Aug. 29.
"We are deeply concerned by the conflicts in Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Nagorno-Karabakh, which hinders the development of the region, the peaceful coexistence of peoples," Ilia noted. "We stand for a peaceful and just resolution of these conflicts, which will make our nations even closer and will allow them to freely develop," Ilia II said.
In his turn, the head of the Caucasian Muslims Office noted the need to resolve the Nagorno Karabakh conflict peacefully. "After that, our peoples will become even closer," he said.
The visit of the CMO in Georgia began Aug. 29. The Head of Caucasus Muslims will also meet with the President and Prime Minister of Georgia during the visit.
The visit of the Caucasian Muslims Office in Georgia will end on Aug. 30.
