The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has clarified the issue of creating a "group" of separatist regime in the occupied territories by Armenia in the European Parliament.
According to the acting head of press-service of MFA Hikmet Hajiyev, on October, 15 this year pro-armenian deputies Frank Engel and Elenie Teocarus have created in the European Parliament so-called "group" on separatist regime established in occupied Azerbaijani territories.
According to him, creation of this group by people who don't have any official status and who are influenced by Armenia and Armenian Diaspora is completely contrary to the position of support of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and all the countries of Eastern Partnership expressed in the resolutions of European Parliament of October, 23 2013 and April, 17 2014.
H. Hajiyev said that there was a request sent to the European Parliament due to this issue:
"According to the information provided by European Parliament, it is possible that the creation of the "group" relates to "inter-groups", which are usually created not by voting.
This indicates once again that this "group" is just a result of independent activity of some people in the European Parliament influenced by Armenia and Armenian Diaspora."
