A delegation of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe canceled its visit to Azerbaijan, scheduled for November 13-14, a message posted on the website of the Venice Commission said Nov. 13.
The reasons for the visit cancellation were not disclosed.
During the visit, the delegation planned to hold meetings with government officials and NGOs in Azerbaijan.
The Commission was to prepare a report in connection with the changes in the law on "NGOs" in Azerbaijan.
The draft report was planned to be approved in December as part of another plenary session of the Venice Commission.
