Azerbaijani, Georgian FMs meet in Kars

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and his Georgian counterpart Tamar Beruchashvili met as part of the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey in the Turkish city of Kars Dec. 10, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry said.

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and his Georgian counterpart Tamar Beruchashvili met as part of the trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey in the Turkish city of Kars Dec. 10, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry said.

During the meeting the sides expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between the countries in all spheres.

The sides also stressed the role of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP) and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway to strengthen cooperation, peace and security in the region.

Moreover, the sides emphasized the contribution of the tripartite meetings of foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey in cooperation, stability and prosperity in the region.

The sides also exchanged views on developments in the region and the world.
