Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received a delegation led by the senior official of Turkey's Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Burhanettin Akti on Feb.10, Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the military and political situation in the region, the measures taken for the development of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Moreover, they emphasized the need to settle the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and exchanged views on the prospects for relations between the armed forces of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Turkish military attaché in Azerbaijan, Brigadier General Hasan Nevzat Tasdeler.
