By Seba Aghayeva - Trend:

China has dismissed a media report that it allegedly submitted a resolution on recognition of the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh to the UN Security Council, head of the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmat Hajiyev told Trend.

The Chinese embassy in Azerbaijan explained the official position of the country, he said.

Russian media reported that the prime minister of China allegedly tweeted that "if the United States, France and Russia support China's resolution on recognizing the separatist regime in Nagorno-Karabakh, it will become an independent country and enter the UN."

Hajiyev said that this information is "another meaningless show of Armenian propagandists."

Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry instructed the Azerbaijani embassy in China to bring information of the Russian media to the attention of the Foreign Ministry of China.
