Azerbaijan and Iran plan to jointly submit the similar elements of the cultural heritage of the two countries to UNESCO and jointly organize the tours, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan said May 29.
Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev has met with Vice-President and Chairman of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) Masoud Soltanifar in Croatia.
Garayev is in Croatia in order to participate in the meeting of the Executive Council of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Azerbaijan and Iran were discussing collaboration in the field of tourism at the meeting.
Iranian Vice President has been invited to Baku for an early signing of a memorandum of understanding in this area.
