In anticipation of such a big event as the first European Games 2015 in Baku, which is eagerly awaited by millions of people in Azerbaijan and Europe, one just doesn't want to stoop to having out and debriefing with individual representatives of the West.
On June 10, the European Parliament in Brussels will hold a hearing on "Sports and human rights, including in the context of the Baku European Games." Another anti-Azerbaijani hearing dedicated to the first European Games in Baku are also planned in Washington. The same handful of ardent opponents of the country, one part of which work for Armenia, and therefore cannot be impartial, and the other part lives on subsidies of Western institutions, will participate in these hearings.

Meanwhile, Baku lives in anticipation of magic, athletes - competitions and deserved victory, the audience - a colorful spectacle and excitement that enthralls everyone who is involved in the great sports festival.
It is a pity that Azerbaijan for obvious reasons haunts many Western politicians who cannot accept the fact that there is a country on the geopolitical map of the world, which builds its relations with the West and the East equally- smoothly and benevolently, not trying to distance itself from its Soviet past and develops new relations with Europe.
Moreover, the West, covered by Islamophobia is absolutely unaware of a Muslim country's ability of remaining more than secular and having friendly relations with Israel. The country has no interreligious conflicts within the country and even helps the Vatican preserve the cultural heritage of Christians. Taking into account the clear "own"-"alien" principle in the world, one has not got accustomed to such a tolerant attitude. This scares the West, depriving it of the leverages of pressure.
Moreover, flourishing Azerbaijan is constantly haunted by its sworn enemy - Armenia. It is not only displeased with the long occupation of Azerbaijani lands, but also defames Azerbaijan sparing no means and resources.
There is the only question. Should a few MEPs seek to change the fact that the officials of some 50 European countries will arrive in Baku? Is it not strange to oppose the event, which will bring together some 6,000 most famous and well-known European athletes?
Are not you tired, gentlemen, of giving vent to Azerbaijan's bile. Without your dubious patronage, Azerbaijan lives in peace and harmony with its neighbors, supports partnership relations with the EU. It is a reliable ally of the US, but at the same time, it reserves the right to solve important issues of foreign policy?
Maybe, let's just enjoy sports, shall we?
