The US Embassy welcomes the Azerbaijani government's commitment to a full investigation, and supports bringing those guilty in the death of Rasim Aliyev to justice, the message of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan said Aug.12.
The US Embassy mourns with the family of Rasim Aliyev following his heinous death, according to the message.
"We welcome the Azerbaijani government's commitment to a full investigation, and we support bringing the perpetrators of this crime to justice," said the message.
Employee of Ann.az website Rasim Aliyev was beaten and as a result suffered multiple injuries on August 8. Rasim Aliyev has died in a clinical medical center on August 9. A criminal case was filed. An investigation is underway.
