Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Azerbaijan Mazahir Panahov issued a warning to political parties at the session of the commission Sept. 2.
Panahov said that the political parties should be more careful and not start campaigning early.
He went on to add that in accordance with the Electoral Code and the Planned Schedule, active campaigning will start October 9 and end at 08:00 (GMT + 5 hours) October 31.
The CEC chairman said that the media shouldn't carry out active campaigning in connection with the election before the date indicated in the Planned Schedule, as it is considered a violation of the law.
In this regard, Panahov urged political parties to be more cautious in this matter and not to allow violations.
The parliamentary election will be held in Azerbaijan November 1.
