Some Armenian e-media outlets disseminated disinformation about the fact that Azerbaijani armed forces allegedly violated ceasefire on the contact line in the direction of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, creating tension along the state border, the message of the Azerbaijani defense ministry said Oct.3.
In fact, the skirmish occurred between the Armenian servicemen, according to the defense ministry.
The defense ministry's message said that Oct. 1, at about 11 p.m. (GMT + 5 hours), the shouting, insults, started on the enemy's side of the contact line, which were followed by some 10 gunshots.
Further on, at about 23:40 an enemy commanding officer arrived at the contact line, and five Armenian servicemen were forced into a car and taken away the next morning.
