The governments of Azerbaijan and Montenegro signed two agreements.

The agreement on customs cooperation and mutual assistance between the governments of Azerbaijan and Montenegro was signed by Azerbaijani Chairman of the State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev and Montenegrin Minister of Economy Vladimir Kavaric.

The Intergovernmental Agreement on the Environment was signed by Azerbaijani Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Huseyngulu Bahirov and Montenegrin Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism Branimir Gvozdenović.

The agreements were signed during the meeting of a delegation, headed by Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Đukanović with Azerbaijani Prime Minister Artur Rasizade.

The delegation was informed about the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. It was stressed that the conflict has not been resolved because of the destructive position of Armenia, which continues the aggressive policy.

The problem should be solved within the framework of international law, based on the principles of territorial integrity and inviolability of borders.

In turn, Đukanović said that Montenegro attaches great importance to developing relations with Azerbaijan and appreciates the efforts of Azerbaijan for peace and security in the world and the region.

Montenegrin prime minister also said that the implementation of large-scale projects in Montenegro by Azerbaijan, investment in this country will contribute to further development of cooperation. He also touched on the importance of projects implemented by Azerbaijan in the energy sphere, spoke about the prospects of cooperation in this area.

Today, Oct.27, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by the Prime Minister of Montenegro Milo Đukanović.
