Sahiba Gafarova, Azerbaijani MP and member of Azerbaijan's delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) was elected chairperson of the PACE Committee on Migration, Refugees and IDPs, the press service of Azerbaijani parliament told Trend Jan. 27.
Earlier, a meeting of this committee was held in Strasbourg, France, as part of the PACE Winter Session Jan. 26.
It is the first time when a member of Azerbaijan's delegation is elected chairperson of a PACE committee.
