Inequality existing in countries lies at the heart of conflicts, and it affects all the regions, Former President of Croatia Ivo Josipovic said March 11.

He made the remarks within the framework of the IV Global Baku Forum titled "Towards a Multipolar World".

He said that unjust approaches to certain issues by countries and societies lead to political problems, conflicts, even revolutions.

In turn, Former UN Deputy Secretary General Noeleen Heyzer said that currently the world is richer than ever in many senses of this word, and stressed the need to eliminate poverty and economic inequality.

In turn, Former Tanzanian President Benjamin Mkapa said that in African countries, government, parliament, media outlets, civil society are able to cope with ignorance, lack of education, which are main causes of social injustice.

Former Romanian President Emil Constantinescu, speaking about the impact of technology on humanity, said that rapid development of technology will lead to weakening of human development.
