Four organizations have applied to Azerbaijan’s Central Election Commission (CEC) to hold an exit poll in the upcoming referendum on making amendments to Azerbaijan’s constitution, the CEC told Trend Sept. 6.
These organizations are: the Citizens’ Labor Rights Protection League, “For Civil Society” Independent Assistance and Consultation Center, ELS Independent Research Center and “Rey” Monitoring Center.
The CEC will in coming days consider the registration of these organizations for holding an exit poll.
Receipt of documents for accreditation of the organizations intending to hold exit polls in the voting will end Sept. 6 in accordance with the calendar plan approved by the Central Election Commission.
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev earlier signed a decree to hold a referendum on making amendments to the country’s constitution Sept. 26, 2016.
