Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, who is on an official visit in Azerbaijan, visited the Alley of Honors Nov. 29 in Baku to lay a wreath at the tomb of the national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, who is on an official visit in Azerbaijan, visited the Alley of Honors Nov. 29 in Baku to lay a wreath at the tomb of the national leader, founder and architect of modern Azerbaijani state Heydar Aliyev.

Lukashenko also put flowers at the graves of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva, state figure Aziz Aliyev and Professor Tamerlan Aliyev.

Later, the Belarusian president visited the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.

A guard of honor was lined up for the Belarusian president there.

President Alexander Lukashenko paid tribute to Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country’s independence and territorial integrity.

He laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.

A military orchestra played the national anthems of Belarus and Azerbaijan.
