President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening of newly renovated Saatli-Sarijalar-Gara Nuru-Shirinbayli-Fatalikand-Azadkand highway in Saatli district.
Chairman of Azeravtoyol OJSC Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state about the work done as part of renovation.
The road is 39 km in length. The two-lane highway was covered with 12-cm asphalt and concrete. A total of 157 road signs and informative boards and 786 road safety poles were installed along the highway.
The highway, which links 19 residential areas, will ease movement of more than 51,000 people.
President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road.
