DYNAMICS OF CHANGES IN SOME ECONOMIC SEGMENTS

Futures oil prices went on rising on 24 June 2005. However, the tendency broke at $60 per barrel, which late the week the futures prices of Light Sweet with delivery term in August. Indeed, official futures prices of Light Sweet was fixed at $59.84 per barrel. Bret futures prices got considerably fixed at the last trading sessions, the closing prices reached new absolute record at $58.36 per barrel.

- at New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) prices of Texaco oil WTI/Light Sweet (August) grew 42 cents (+0.7%) and reached $59.84 per barrel at average prices of $59.17-$60.00 per barrel;

- At International Petroleum Exchange (IPE) official prices of Brent (August) grew 40 cents (+0.7%) and reached at $58.36 per barrel


The futures prices of petrol and fuel mazut at NYMEX on 24 June. The prices of fuel dropped to minimal point. Nevertheless, oil futures went on rising under the impact of increased demand for oil in the 4th quarter of 2005.

Last week rates of Azerbaijani manat continued growing in regard to US dollar. It gained 5 points and reached 4721 manats. Strong fluctuations were peculiar to the last week Euro rates, which dropped during the last week and fell 104.78 points. It was fixed at 5677.95 manats.

Last week official rate of AZM in regard to USD dropped every day at BBVB, while maximal difference between the rates made up 4.5 points.

Aggravate amount of trading sessions (BEST) at BICEX comprised US $15,715m last week. Average daily deals constituted US $3.143m. Maximal rates were fixed on 20 June, comprising US $7.102m. Strong fluctuations were not peculiar to last week dynamic of trading sessions.
