The Latvian Government has failed to allot a building to accommodate Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Riga. Thereby, Azerbaijan’s legation to that country likely will start to operate from August.

Following the announcement, Tofig Zulfugarov, then Azerbaijan’s foreign minister and now the newly appointed ambassador to Latvia, told Trend that all technical issues [related to the activity of the embassy] would be settled in July.

“It is expected that the (land) issue will be solved within July. In addition, we need to get determined with the budget and manning of the embassy. Thereafter, the embassy will start its activity (in Latvia),” Zulfugarov noted.
