The UNO Food Program renders monthly aid to 135,000 refugees and IDPs of Azerbaijan, the State Committee on Refugees and IDPs of Azerbaijan told Trend.
The UNO has again resumed rendering aid to Azerbaijani refugees and IDPs, which had been suspended temporarily due to financial problems.
Financial difficulties have been caused by the fact, that some donor countries had not transferred relevant donations to the UNO fund. During two months the government of Azerbaijan temporarily replaced the UNO on their own account, until the structure resumed its aid.
According to the State Committee’s statistics, the state renders monthly food aid to 146,000 of low-income refuges and IDPs. The cost of the food subsistence, given to each is 16,900 thousand manats.
