The executive secretary of the “16 October Movement”, Panah Husseyn will take part in the current parliamentary elections and his name will be included in he list of candidates of the �Azadlig’ block, Panah Husseyn told Trend. On July 1 the conviction has been removed from Panah Husseynov
by the decision of the court. He had been arrested in connection with the events, followed after the 2003 presidential elections and released by the Decree of the President on pardoning in March 2005.
Having got the opportunity to participate in the elections, Panah Husseyn stated, that he would join the вЂ�Azadlig’ election block, which is close to him. The Sabirabad regional branch of the Azerbaijan’s National Independence party (NIPA), being a part of the В"YeSВ" block, stated, it will defend the candidature of Husseyn. Other opposition forces, not parts of election blocks also stated, that they would support his candidature at the elections.
В"I will be the candidate, who will be supported by at least the majority of opposition forces”, Husseyn noted. He said, that he would nominate his candidature either from Sabayil or from Sabirabad region.
