The Liberal Party of Azerbaijan (LPA) took a decision to leave the Yeni Siyaset (New Policy) block, chairman of the organization’s executive committee, Avaz Temirkhan told Trend.
According to him, the possibility of joining the Azadlig block is not ruled out. В"After LPA leader, head of the National Unity Movement, Lala-Shovket Hadjiyeva, left the block, the party does not find it reasonable to stay in the block, as the LPA continues its activities as part of the National Unity Movement.
Once in the future Hadjiyeva will take a decision to enter the Azadlig block, I suppose the LPA will have nothing against itВ", - Temirkhan noted
According to him, there is nothing special in joining the LPA, resting on liberal values, to Azadlig block, uniting the radical opposition. В"Actually, the Azadlig block also fights for holding democratic elections and against any falsifications of the voting results.
On the whole, they are liberal values. Therefore, joining LPA the Azadlig block should be considered as the natural move”, Temirkhan stressed.
