The Council of Press (CP) set up a series of events dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the national press.
Appropriate events with participation of CP members, representatives of
the regional mass media and local executive bodies were held in Zardab on Tuesday and in Yevlakh on Wednesday, the Council of Press told Trend.
The similar gatherings are scheduled to be held in Ganja (Monday), Shaki (Tuesday), as well as Masalli, Lankaran, Guba and Nakhichevan. A solemn ceremony to be organized in the Gulustan palace on 21 July will end the country-wide celebrations.
The Printing Houses and journalist organizations submitted to the PC a list of candidates, who will be conferred awards on the occasion of the anniversary. The list of the candidates will also be presented to the President’s Executive Power Apparat.
