The tension in the check point Red Bridge’ on the Georgian-Azerbaijani border relaxed, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia told Trend.

The situation in the border became tense during a recent check-up conducted by the financial police in effort of preventing smuggling. The check-up caused big queue and death of a Georgian citizen, Eyvaz Nuriyev.
Though the witnesses said Nuriyev became a victim of the arbitrariness by the customs officials, the doctors of the emergency said that the heart attacks caused his death.

Employees of the embassy continue contacting the appropriate state bodies of Georgia to simplify check-up and official registration procedures in the border.
