EVIDENCES ONCE MORE ASSERT IMPLICATION OF PEOPLE IN SEARCH TO MURDER OF A JOURNALIST

The National Security Ministry continues the investigation and search operations on the murder of the editor-in-chief of the Monitor magazine, Elmar Husseynov, a statement issued jointly by the National Defense Ministry and the Prosecutor General’s Office read.

В"A special operative investigation group is currently analyzes all
versions suggested in this respect, carries out intensive work over necessary examination.

The facts and examinations made in this connection, as well as reliable opinions submitted by the foreign bodies testified that the initial results of the investigation were true and confirmed the evidences.

On 8 March 2005 a hat found near the scene of incident was presented to the Federal Bureau for Investigation (FBI) for biological forensic examination. In compliance with the initial data received on 30 May 2005 they revealed hair belonging to a Caucasian man, as well as different types of textile threads.

The same day pillow slips and fibrin found in the apartment rented by Tahir Khubanov and Teymuraz Aliyev, citizens of Georgia, were presented to the FBI for comparative analysis, the statement said.

The examination revealed the similarity between the threads found in the hat and those found on the pillow-splits. The evidences once more asserted the idea on implication of people in search to the murder of the journalist.

В"At present the necessary investigation actions and search operations are underway to determine all participants of the crime and their detention,В" the statement issued by the National Defense Ministry and Prosecutor General’s Office underlined.
