Baku city Executive Power replied to a letter addressed by the Karabakh Liberation Organization (KLO) with request to sanction the rally scheduled for July 23, the organization told Trend.
The authorities positively accepted the KLO’s initiative on staging an action dedicated to Karabakh, but proposed to hold the action from 14:00 till 16:00 with consideration some parties’ plans on organization of a rally from 17:00 till 19:00.
The reply did not satisfy the organization. On July 15 the KLO appealed to the Baku Executive Power with notification that it would hold the rally on July 23 from 17:00 till 19:00 from metro station ’20 January’ to Galaba square.
They blamed the city authorities of indifferent attitude towards the Karabakh problem. The organization considers that the Executive Power took such resolution to avoid pressures of the international organization and by this way demonstrates antinational position on the Karabakh problem.
