The chairman of the Party of Democratic Reforms (PDR), Milli Mejlis deputy Asim Mollazade being on a visit in the USA held a number of meetings in Washington, the PDR press service told Trend.
On 18 July the PDR chairman spoke at two research centers вЂ" the Enterprise Institution and the Carnegy Foundation. In his speeches the PDR chairman gave information on pre-election situation in Azerbaijan and touched upon the issue of reforms needed for holding
democratic elections, the report says.
Having given the information on the PDR targets and intentions Asim Mollazade voiced further the partyвЂ™s position on settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
He underlined especially holding democratic parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan as the basic condition for the countryвЂ™s stability and development. The PDR chairman has also touched upon the American-Azerbaijani relations.
Meetings of the PDR chairman at the White House, the State Department and Pentagon are scheduled on 20 July.
MollazadeвЂ™s visit to the USA will be completed at the weekend.
