Any organization, even without previous notification of the state bodies, can hold exit polls during the parliamentary elections scheduled for 5 November 2005, Novruz Mammadov, the head of the Foreign Relationships Department of the President’s Executive Power, told Trend.
He noted that no special discussions were being held with the authorities at the moment.
В"The Azerbaijani authorities will do everything possible to hold open and fair elections,В" Mammadov underlined. Noting the necessity of arranging exit polls he stressed that the government is ready to support such actions.
The same time Mammadov said he did not have information on signing of any agreement on holding exit-polls during the recent visit of Madeline Albright to Baku.
