OPPOSITION PARTIES HOLD A MEETING NEAR GALABA CINEMA

The opposition parties completed the rally, which started at the 20 January underground station, with meeting in front of the Galaba cinema on Saturday. The Civil Solidarity Party, Azerbaijan Liberal Party, Progress Party, Free Azerbaijan Party, Great Establishment, and members of the elections block �Builders of civil society’ participated at the rally, organized by the National Democratic Party, Trend reports.

Sabir Rustamkhanli, the chairman of the Civil Solidarity Party, mentioned the importance of the concrete deadline for the activity of the OSCE Minsk group in settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.

In his turn, Fazil Gazanfaroglu, the head of the Great Establishment Party, stressed the importance of the regulation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by forces aspired to democratic elections. According to Gazanfaroglu, if the government manages to unite the people, it will settle the Nagorno-Karabakh problem.

Isgandar Hamidov, the chairman of the National-Democratic Party, invited the participants of the meeting to hold democratic elections, as well as fight for liberation of Karabakh.

Chingiz Damiroglu, the head of the Progress Party, underlined the importance of the holding of the democratic parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan.

The participants of the meeting honored the 12th anniversary of the occupation of Agdam and called the people to withdraw the Armenian occupation forces from the territory.
