A visit of experts of the Azerbaijan and Egyptian governments, originally scheduled for 25-29 July has been postponed in connection with last week terror attacks on Egypt, the Egyptian embassy in Baku told Trend.
An Azerbaijani delegation was to pay a visit to Cairo to hold consultations to accord
the agenda of the second meeting of the Azerbaijani-Egyptian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation. The visit will be paid after 15 August 2005.
The experts are to develop and unify the agenda of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. Azerbaijan and Egypt will sign new agreements, covering the development of agriculture, trade, industry, medicine, culture etc. Part of them has been accorded, while some points are still to be changed.
A meeting of the commission will be held this autumn. The Commission will commission will consider the opportunities for increase of goods turnover between Azerbaijan and Egypt.
The first session of the commission was held in Baku in October 2002. The co-chairs of the commission are Farhad Aliyev, the Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development, and Faiz Abul Naga, the Egyptian Minister for International Cooperation.
