Legal proceedings on the case of Vugar Dadashov, who is accused in the murder of a family of prominent footballer Samad Gurbanov, will start at the Grave Crimes Court on Thursday under the chairmanship of Judge Anvar Seyidov, Trend reports.

Dadashov, a resident of Gazakh District, was member of the Police Divisions of

Special Appointment (OPON). He was convicted for crimes committed within OPON for a long time and was pardoned by the President in 2002. The reason for murder of Parvin Mammadzade, who was Dadashov’s schoolmate, was a sense of cupidity.

Thus, Dadashov who came to Mammadzade’s house on 13 March 2005 made knife wounds on him and his wife Aytan Gurbanova. He took $276 and 500,000 manats, two mobile hand-sets and jewelry. After he poured petrol along the flat and fired it to conceal the traces of crimes. The firemen who came to the scene of incident along with dead-bodies of Gurbanova and Mammadzade, found a charry body of their little 4-year old daughter Fidan in the next room. The experts set that she slept during the fire.

During the initial investigation Dadashov has changed its testimonies many times. Though first pleaded crime, later gave testimonies on perpetration of the merciless murder by others.
